The AN-FM-240/ETH familyare standalone and rack mountable fiber 8 x E1 + 1 10/100BaseT  modemsavailable in a number of different models, with AC or DC power suppliesbuilt-in. The AN-FM-240/ETH family of modems  may beapplied in point-to-point applications or they may be installed andlinked to a centrally located AN-CH01 or AN-CH03 chassis.

The AN-FM-240/ETH is a fiber media transport for8xE1 + 1 10/100BaseT  transmission. The BNC model provides unbalanced75 Ohm coaxial connections while the RJ-45 model provides balanced 120Ohm connections over twisted pair wiring.
All media converters areavailable with either multi-mode or single-mode optical tranceivers andwith connectors for SC, ST, or FC. In single mode they are available inup to 120 km versions reach, which will provide the ability to transmitand receive data using only a single optical fiber pair.

When the AN-FM-240/ETH is linked to the AN-CH03 with AN-FM-240/ETH card,it allows network engineers to get greater functionality throughadvanced SNMP features, the network administrator can manage anyconverter module from anywhere on the network, detect any link loss andmaintain each loop.
